ABOVE: Photo of a Flying Squirrel house #4 on 10/5/2002. At the time, it was up for 3 weeks and near house #3. It was designed as a flying squirrel house with a side entrance. It was mounted about 15' high in a Tulip Poplar tree. No activity as of Dec 21, 2002 & Feb 2, 2003. On 5/11, fur was found in box. On July 12, a Flyer stuck its head out of the box (the nose & mouth are only slightly visible in the inset photo). Start of nest found on July 16, it was larger when checked on July 24.
