LEFT: Photo taken on 7/10/2002. The floor of this box is about 6' up and it is in the open near a mostly bare tree. Bats only seem to use bird houses that are 6' or more off the ground, in the open, and near a bare tree or utility pole. I also saw small bat inside this nest box on 9/29/2001.

BELOW: 10/5/2002: Bat eliminations inside Bluebird nest box #3. In the top of the photo is the 1/2" wire mesh floor.
